Vision for EPIC as BoD Member and Beyond:

EPIC should provide quality Islamic guidance and religious services to all the Muslim communities from our surrounding cities and neighborhoods according to the Quran and Sunnah of our beloved prophet (pbuh).
  • I would like to see EPIC become a hub for community activities serving the East Plano, Murphy, Wylie, Richardson and other surrounding areas.
  • I would like to see EPIC provide a welcoming and family friendly environment to families that are moving and settling in and around our neighborhood regardless of what nationality they come from. EPIC should be a masjid that should welcome everyone.
  • There should be renewed focus on youth activities and learning programs, as they will one day be running the affairs of our masjid.
  • On the outreach front, EPIC should become the center for dawah and inter-faith discussions with our surrounding non-muslim communities
  • As our masjid expands, we need to be innovative and figure out ways and programs to generate steady income in addition to just relying on donations.

Vision for EPIC as BoD Member and Beyond:

Assalamualaikum, as I plan to extend my volunteer work for the masjid, I will work hard to bring UNITY to this ever growing diversified community. Tolerance toward each other will help us to build unity, in sha Allah. For me, ‘One Ummah’ starts at EPIC.

Keeping the masjid open to all is very important. However, my humble appeal is that we must not drift away during the DAWA process and strictly follow the path of Quran and Sunnah.

Masjid is expanding, so is expenses. We need to look into new revenue stream from the expansion otherwise we cannot survive just from donation. Also, with my social service work, I look forward to continue to engage myself and our community to help the new arrivals and refugees. Jazzak Allahu Khairun for your support and Duaa.

M. Fawad Mansoori

M. Fawad Mansoori

Vision for EPIC as BoD Member and Beyond:

As a relative newcomer to the EPIC community I am able to admire the tremendous accomplishments of this community but I am also keenly aware of the incredible potential we have for growth.

For a masjid to be truly of the ‘Shaa’ir’ or symbols of Allah it must reflect core Islamic values. It should be a place where people feel welcomed and respected and which operates upon the tenets of the Quran and Sunnah alone. I envision a masjid that leads the community and simultaneously serves their needs. A place that the children and youth consider their second home, and which provides all its members, whether male or female, young or old, with opportunities to learn the deen so they can nurture their relationship with the Creator. As a representation of Islam in America we also have a religious obligation to build interfaith alliances and provide social services to our Muslim and non-Muslim neighbors. A concerted effort must be made to set aside differences so we can move forward to build a truly EPIC masjid.

I pray that Allah (SWT) purifies my intention and allows me to be of service to you.
